任务

The mission of 学生的行为 and 社区标准 is to develop, 传播, and uphold campus policies and procedures. The Code and 学生的行为 process educates students of their civic and social responsibility as Tiffin University community members, as well as future global citizens through proactive educational outreach and formal conduct processes.  The Code also supports the 任务 of Tiffin University by providing students educational opportunities that can positively impact their future goals.  学生的权利, 同等的尊严, and fundamental fairness are an integral part of the Code and 学生的行为 process.  All elements of the 学生的行为 process and Code of 学生的行为 are designed to foster the ethical development and personal integrity of students.

管辖范围内

The 学生的行为 process and Tiffin University Code of 学生的行为 inform the rights and responsibilities of students and student organizations.  This Code and process addresses misconduct that occurs on Tiffin University property, as well as off-campus incidents (including study-abroad experiences) when the possibility or reality of a negative impact on the campus community exists.

大学, at its discretion reserves the right to pursue action, through the established 学生的行为 process against a student’s behavior while the student is also subject to criminal proceedings.  大学 reserves this right even if criminal charges/proceedings are pending, 减少, 或解雇.

哲学

The core philosophy of 学生的行为 at Tiffin University is one of education.  While the use of punitive sanctions is a possibility in any given situation, the goal of the 学生的行为 process is to foster student development and uphold community standards.
